The Original Equipment KYB Piggyback Reservoir shocks found on the Wolverine are a great quality shock package that offer full adjustability. With nice soft internal valving and piggyback nitrogen charged reservoirs which are a great handling OE shock package. However, as with all OE shocks the spirngs used by the manufacturer are usually a lower quality with a tendancy to sag and can always be improved on.
So ... we improved them ! This full spring kit is custom coiled to fit exact to your OE KYB Yamaha piggyback shocks. The Stage One and Two full replacement upgrade spring kit is built as the highest quality springs on the market. With improved spring rates, our springs will offer a much more planted firm feel in all terains while giving you the ability to use less preload on your springs to achieve your desired ground clearance for maximum wheel travel, improved ride quality and with no need to use any lift kit brackets.

Recommendation on how to choose between stages:
Stage One (SOFT to MEDIUM) recommended for OE weight set up with 0 to 150 lbs of add on cargo and accessories
Stage Two (MEDIUM to HEAVY) recommended for Wolverines with 150 lbs or more of add on cargo and accessories

Good quality springs, nice looking and fast shipping. I should have ordered the stage 1, soft to medium springs. I thought with 2 adults, 75lbs of tools in a large pacout, 3 gal fuel can, 28" tires and 14" beadlock rims, and other add ons, the stage 2 would be better. We could feel a definite improvement in ride quality and stability, but, still a little too stiff on some trails with minimum preload. Ran them for a week in the Black Hills. Might have to order the stage 1's to compare.
I installed these on my all stock 2022 Yamaha Wolverine XTR 850. My shocks were set to the Soft setting per the owners manual. I found that the ride was harsh and bouncy still.
I stalled these springs and am very happy with the Stance, Lift and the improved ride.
I kept the shock at the same setting in order the do a fair comparisons.
